Background Color To App Window

Wade Cantley

So I figured out this webview thing and wanted to transition using this horizontal flip, but then I found this ugly black background....

Where the heck is this coming from?!

Turns out, this is the default color of the app "window".

So if we go into the AppDelegate.swift we can add some code to change it.

import UIKit
import CoreData

@UIApplicationMain
class AppDelegate: UIResponder, UIApplicationDelegate {

    var window: UIWindow?

    func application(application: UIApplication, didFinishLaunchingWithOptions launchOptions: [NSObject: AnyObject]?) -> Bool {
        // Override point for customization after application launch.

        //Here we change the background color
        self.window?.backgroundColor = UIColor.blueColor()

        return true
    }

.....

Now it is blue.  Of course this opens the door to using different colors and even background images if desired.
